Jasmyn Rios, a junior at Safford High, won the Division 3 girls discus throw title with a fifth-round effort of 118-9 (36.19m) at the Arizona Interscholastic Association State Championships at Mesa Community College. Rios, who finished 13th at last year's state final, rallied to win the title after only advancing to the finals with 104-8 (31.90m) mark in the third round.
